Clear, Upfront Fees
The Root Cause NP is a private-pay psychiatric practice and does not accept or bill insurance. Fees are shared in advance so you can make an informed decision about your care.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
$350
A comprehensive initial assessment of your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current concerns and treatment goals.
Follow-Up Psychiatric Visit
$175 · 30 minutes
Ongoing psychiatric care, treatment planning, medication review and progress monitoring.
Brief Medication Check-In
$105 · 15 minutes
Available only to established, clinically stable patients for focused medication questions or monitoring. This appointment does not replace a comprehensive follow-up when additional assessment is needed.
Psychotherapy Visit
$250 · 50 minutes
Individual psychotherapy focused on your emotional health, current concerns and treatment goals.
Payment is due at the time of service. Laboratory testing, prescription medications, supplements and services provided by outside laboratories, pharmacies or other healthcare professionals are not included in the appointment fee unless specifically stated in writing.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have health insurance or do not plan to use insurance for your care, federal law gives you the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges for non-emergency healthcare services.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling care. When an eligible appointment is scheduled at least 3 business days in advance, a personalized estimate will be provided within the applicable federal timeframe.
Your personalized estimate will describe the services reasonably expected at the time it is prepared and the estimated charges associated with those services. The estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive services from this practice.
If a bill from a provider or facility is at least $400 more than the amount listed in your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate and compare it with any bills you receive.
Charges from independent laboratories, pharmacies, imaging centers, other clinicians or outside facilities may not be included in the Good Faith Estimate provided by The Root Cause NP. These organizations may provide separate estimates for their services.
