What it is

Ongoing medication management provides structured follow-up for established patients who are taking psychiatric medication. Each visit considers symptom response, possible side effects, sleep, daily functioning, adherence, relevant health changes and treatment goals.

When clinically appropriate, medical information and laboratory results may also be considered. Medication decisions are made collaboratively and may include continuing, adjusting or gradually tapering treatment when appropriate.

This is active clinical care, not an automated refill service. Every prescription and medication change is based on an appropriate clinical assessment.

Who it's for

This service is designed for established patients who need careful psychiatric medication follow-up. It may be appropriate if you are beginning a medication, continuing an existing treatment plan, managing side effects or determining whether a medication remains helpful.

New patients generally begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation so that current symptoms, treatment history, medical information and goals can be reviewed before ongoing medication management begins.

This service may be appropriate if:

  • You are starting or adjusting psychiatric medication.
  • You need regular monitoring of effectiveness and side effects.
  • Your sleep, mood, concentration or daily functioning has changed.
  • You need clinically appropriate medication-safety monitoring.
  • You want more thoughtful follow-up than a quick refill visit.

Patients are seen from across Palm Beach County, including Boca Raton, Jupiter, Wellington, Palm Beach and Delray Beach.
