The Root Cause Method

Look beyond the symptom.

When you feel anxious, exhausted, unfocused, emotionally flat, or unlike yourself, the explanation may involve more than one factor.

The Root Cause Method combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication management, and targeted laboratory testing when clinically appropriate.

A more complete picture

Mental health symptoms can be influenced by psychiatric, medical, hormonal, nutritional, lifestyle, and medication-related factors.

We take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, sleep, stress, hormonal changes, medications, and previous treatment experiences before creating your individualized care plan.

How the Root Cause Method works

Step 1

We Listen

Your evaluation goes beyond a symptom checklist. We explore what you are experiencing, when it began, and what may be contributing to it.

Step 2

We Test With Purpose

Not every patient needs laboratory testing. When clinically indicated, we may review existing results or order targeted testing related to thyroid function, iron and ferritin, vitamin levels, metabolic health, hormonal changes, and other relevant factors.

Step 3

We Create Your Plan

Your personalized plan may include medication, supportive therapy, sleep and lifestyle recommendations, correction of an identified deficiency, or collaboration with another medical provider.

Labs are one part of the picture

Laboratory results are interpreted alongside your symptoms, history, medications, and overall clinical presentation.

Testing does not replace a psychiatric evaluation. It can provide helpful information that allows your care to be more informed and individualized.

Thoughtful care. Clear answers. A plan built around you.

Medication can be an important part of treatment. When recommended, it is selected thoughtfully, explained clearly, and monitored carefully.

The goal is to create a treatment plan that reflects your needs, preferences, and clinical findings rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

You do not need to have all the answers before reaching out.
